The  Brea Family Resource Center addresses the varied personal needs and relationship concerns of modern life. A wide array of services include: individual and family counseling, parenting classes, debt management and financial workshops, plus health screenings, support groups and social service agency referrals. Most services are free or offered at cost through the support of local sponsorships and grants. Offices are located within the Brea Community Center where many programs are conducted throughout the year.
  Recreation
Brea’s very popular 52,000 square foot Community Center offers a fitness complex, youth activities, Family Resource Center, and meeting and banquet rooms. The Brea Senior Center provides activities, meals, and a gathering place for the City’s older residents.

Brea's school athletic programs are top notch too. All of the teams are consistently competitive and most programs qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs every year.
